Safety is Everyone's Responsibility

If you are working for a contracting company or its sub-contractor and need to attend Port of Waterford's Belview terminal, you need to complete the safety induction training programme.


It is the responsibility of the contracting party and the contractor(s) to  ensure that there is a Safe System of Work Plan.


The induction programme covers the following topics:

1. Port of Waterford Safety Policy
2. Responsibilities
3. Site layout
4. Traffic management
5. Hazards
6. Accident/Incident Reporting
7. First Aid Facilities
8. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
9. Fire Evacuation Procedure


  • Click on the link below to begin the test.
  • Study each slide carefully – including labelled images.
  • Click Next to proceed.
  • At the end, you will be prompted to enter your personal details (name, address, company, email address etc) so they can be recorded.
  • You will be asked a series of questions (multiple choice)

The pass score is 75%.

On completion, an email will be sent to you to show the result. If you achieve the pass score, you will be allowed to enter the Belview facility. Th Induction training is valid for 3 years.


If you fail to achieve this, you may repeat the test.


Access will be restricted for those persons who have not successfully completed the training.
